Public Safety in Entertainment Districts

On February 3 a presentation by Jacob Montgomery, Edmonton Police Services, showcased an outline of a specialized training developed for officers working in nightlife districts. This was followed by a discussion of representatives from Seattle, Charleston, Pittsburgh as well as John Thayer, consultant and author (see below). The goal is to develop a network of those wanting to share approaches to public safety in hospitality zones, and serve as a member of a planning task for an RHI Sociable City Leadership Summit in 2014.
